Verizon HTC One could launch with Android 4.2.2

HTC’s Android 4.2.2 rollout hitting most international variants of the One smartphone, the carrier versions of the smartphone are somewhat behind. But it is now being claimed that the yet to be launched Verizon HTC One smartphone could pack the 4.2.2 version of Android right out of the box when released. This is very good news for users on Verizon waiting to get the HTC One.
Looking at all the exclusives that Verizon offers for its customers, we can imagine something like this happening. This will save users from waiting long for an update which is standard procedure for a Verizon Android smartphone. We’re still not a 100% about this yet, so take it with a pinch of salt. The information was revealed by renowned hacker @LlabTooFeR over at Twitter.
The Verizon HTC One has been rumored to be announced on August 1, which is another 10 days away. But considering that the HTC One is still one of the best high end smartphones money can buy, we’re bound to believe that there will be some excitement for its launch.
